Women’s March on Washington: Halifax photos

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Halifax Woman’s March on Washington earlier today, and see the fight for gender equality first hand with over 2,000 people in attendance. Women, men and children gathered at the Grand Parade to fight for the equal rights of women all over the world, and to fight the recently elected President of the United States, Donald Trump. Speakers at the event included, but were not limited to, spoken word artist El Jones, Mi’kmaq Elder Marlene Companion, Michelle Mallette from Solidarity Halifax, and the NDP’s Lenore Zann.
