The King’s chapel was vandalized with fire extinguishers last night or early this morning.
The damage was discovered this morning.
The interior of the chapel was sprayed with fire extinguishers, covering most of the sanctuary space, said chapel warden Sarah Keeshan. The space will be cleaned for 5-7 days including books, kneeler cushions, and fabrics are cleaned.
Police were on campus today investigating, according to Dean of Residence Nicholas Hatt.
The daily offices for the rest of the week have been moved to the Day Bay in Alexandra Hall. Dean Hatt did not know what would happen to other regular services.
The Capella Regalis men and boys’ choir special evensong service scheduled for tomorrow night has been postponed. It will take place next week.
