about

The Watch Magazine is written, produced and designed by students at the University of King’s College. Our monthly issues can be found online or scattered around King’s campus. The Watch team is constantly looking for new ways to grow and better serve the King’s community.

A brief history

Founded in the 1989/90 academic year, The Watch Magazine has been keeping campus fresh for over 30 years. In 2022, The Watch Magazine went on a temporary hiatus.

In 2024, the magazine was brought back by Maria Collins, Olivia Piercey, Eamon Irving, Gabrielle McLeod, Ella Karan, Clara Silcoff and Emma Breton.

Looking to appeal to the broader King’s community, the magazine rebranded. Instead of focusing exclusively on being a newsmagazine, The Watch branched out, and started including more features, opinions, and satire pieces that celebrated and highlighted the unique culture at King’s.
