Quick Council: April 21

1–2 minutes

The King’s Students’ Union council met briefly on Sunday to hire several students for union hired positions, as well as a hospitality manager – a new position.
Quinn Harrington, president of the Day Students’ Society, resigned from his DSS position on KSU council. Colleen Earle, a day student, will take his place on council, though she is not on the DSS executive.
Anders Jorgen was hired as the King’s Amateur Athletic Association (or CUBE) coordinator.
Council rehired Kayla Fells, this year’s campus safety coordinator, for next year.
Brianna Aird was hired as the union’s sustainability officer.
Jesse Laufer, the external vice-president, will supervise these new UHPs.
Nicholas Wright was hired as the hospitality manager, pending the negotiation of terms of his contract. Wright is a King’s graduate who wants to work in the hospitality industry.
Council had not had time to fill the positions by its last meeting in early April.
