Though the new president of King’s has not yet been announced, it won’t be Don Desserud.
According the the CBC’s Jacques Poitras, as well as the UPEI research Twitter feed, Desserud will be the new Dean of Arts at UPEI next year.
This leaves Dr. Jure Gantar (Dalhousie University) and Dr. Anne Leavitt (University of Vancouver Island) in the running.
According to KSU President Gabe Hoogers, who sits on the King’s board of governors, the final contract negotiations are happening now, and the new president should be announced very soon.
UPDATE: UPEI Board of Governors put out a release today, announcing Desserud’s appointment.
