Professor Jane Curran passes away

Dalhousie German department chair and King’s lecturer Dr Jane Curran has passed away.
King’s chaplain Rev. Canon Dr. Gary Thorne sent an email to the chapel community last evening with the news.

The Burial Office for Curran will be held August 4 at 3p.m. Friends and colleagues are invited to visit and sign the guest book, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Curran was the wife of King’s professor Rev. Dr. Thomas Curran, and a close friend of the college.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Jane Curran and are sorry we are not able to attend the burial services.

I am very sad to hear that Dr. Curran has passed away. She was a great inspiration to me and also a very kind mentor. She was very encouraging with regard to my work and I learned a great deal from her. I will remember her poise and her intelligent presence. My thoughts are with her family.
