Spooky drinks

Spooky drinks!
Spooky drinks!

Here are three spooky drinks to try with your coven or pals this Halloween. These are just the basics so feel free to make your own twists and magical additions to these recipes. I recommend you go out to a dollar store and get gummy eyeballs, candy corn or other candies to drop inside if you’re trying to really ~spook~ your guests. But please, no poison. That’s fatal and illegal.
(All recipes produce one drink; multiply accordingly with proper amount of cocktail glasses to reach desired amount).
Candy Corn Shooter
1/3 oz of Galliano liqueur
1/3 oz of orange Gatorade
1/3 oz of cream
-Pour Galliano into a shot glass filling only 1/3.
-Pour in orange Gatorade to 1/3 of the glass.
-Fill the final 1/3 of the glass with cream.
-Shoot back and enjoy!
Pumpkin Dark and Spicy
1.5 oz of rum
2 tbsp of pumpkin pie filling
1 tsp of orange juice (or orange zest if your feelin’ fancy)
Ginger beer
Ice cubes
-In a glass add rum, pumpkin pie filling and orange juice; mix well. Set aside in fridge for three hours or more for best taste.
-Fill a cocktail glass with ice.
-Pour in refrigerated mixture.
-Pour ginger beer over mixture.
-Stir well with a spoon.
Vegan Fright Russian
1.5 oz vodka
1.5 oz Kahlua liqueur
1/2 cup of coconut milk (or other vegan milk alternative)
Green food colouring
Ice cubes
-Place desired amount of ice cubes into a cocktail glass with ice.
-Pour measured-out vodka followed by Kahlua.
-Add half a cup of coconut milk or desired milk alternative.
-Add 3-6 drops of green food colouring until you reach desired shade of Shrek green (can use another scary colour or two to personalize).
-Stir lightly with a spoon.
