Editor’s note: September 2025

1–2 minutes

My dearest King’s,

Did you miss us? Because we missed you — and as of writing this, we still feel an absence on campus. While you might have been lounging by the beach, at a student protest or enjoying other non-class activities, we’ve been working hard at getting our September issue up and running.

We hit our groove last year and it sure was something special to see so many people pick up our magazine. Watching you read it, talk about it and even rip it up, well, it’s only given us more motivation to keep it going.

Now, with our incredible new executive team, we’re back and ready to hit the ground running.

After a strange start to the semester, I’ve been reminded of the power of student voices. Never stop fighting for what you believe in, King’s. Keep making noise and keep questioning things. Never stop holding people and institutions to account, and we won’t either.

This year, we promise to keep highlighting student voices. From radio shows to FYP experiences to King’s-made musicians, I hope you find yourself represented in this magazine, King’s — even if we hit a little too close to the mark on a few jokes.

I have to be a bit sappy here, because this magazine wouldn’t be in your hands right now if not for the hard work, determination and continued support of last year’s executive team. The Watch’s door will always be open to you guys (even when you’re the old creeps on King’s campus). And, to my partner-in-crime, I couldn’t do this without you Clara. Thank you for loving this magazine as much as I do.

With that, I give you our September issue.

Your editor-in-chief,

Emma Breton
